Puhera Google Merchant Integration
The Puhera Google Merchant integration brings your store's Google Merchant product feed into your AI chatbot's knowledge base. The bot then knows your products, answers product questions from catalog data and recommends suitable items to shoppers. It works for any store whose e-commerce platform can publish a product feed in Google Merchant format, and it requires no code.

What is a Google Merchant product feed?
A product feed is a data file that lists your store's products in a structured way. In a Google Merchant-format feed, each product carries fields such as title, description, price, availability, product link and image.
Many stores already prepare this feed for their product listings on Google. Puhera reuses the same feed for the chatbot, so there is no separate catalog to build and no products to enter by hand. Our post on using a Google Merchant feed as a chatbot product catalog covers how to prepare it.
Which stores can use this method?
Google Merchant feed sync is not tied to a particular platform. If your e-commerce platform can publish a product feed in Google Merchant format, or you generate one another way, you can bring your catalog into Puhera with it.
On platforms Puhera connects to natively or through MCP, the catalog can arrive by other routes too; the T-Soft integration, for example, includes its own catalog sync. The feed method is a practical way to get product information into the bot for stores outside those integrations.
What can the bot answer from the feed?
Take a store that sells running shoes. Once the feed is synced, a shopper might ask:
- "Can you recommend a lightweight shoe for running?"
- "How much is this model?"
- "Is this shoe in stock right now?"
- "Where can I find this product's page?"
The bot answers from the catalog data in the feed and shows its source. Answer quality follows feed quality: complete descriptions, consistent categories and up-to-date availability help the bot recommend more accurately. The product recommendation chatbot page explains how recommendations feed into sales.
What does feed sync not cover?
A product feed is a catalog; it holds no order data. So feed sync on its own does not provide order lookup or customer verification. Those need a store integration such as T-Soft, Shopify or WooCommerce.
Policy questions about shipping, returns or payment are not in the feed either. Add that information to the AI knowledge base with website crawling or file uploads, and the bot will answer both product and policy questions with sources cited.

Do I need a Google Merchant account for this integration?
What you need is a product feed in Google Merchant format. If your e-commerce platform can publish that feed, Puhera syncs your product catalog from it.
Can the bot look up orders with feed sync?
No. A product feed contains no order data. Order lookup requires the T-Soft, Shopify or WooCommerce integration.
Can the bot answer price and availability questions?
Yes. If that information is in your feed, the bot answers product questions from the catalog data it contains.
Do I have to enter products one by one?
No. Feed sync brings your whole product catalog into the knowledge base, so there is no separate catalog to build.
Can I use a Google Merchant feed together with website crawling?
Yes. The feed adds product information, while website crawling and file uploads add policy and content pages; the bot uses both together.
Can I measure sales from the products the bot recommends?
Yes. Puhera's conversion and revenue tracking reports purchases of AI-recommended products using a SKU-based attribution model.
